Mixed radiators (dual fuel radiators) are radiators that can be used individually for heating via the central heating system or to heat electrically. These radiators are highly suitable in spring and autumn when the central heating boiler is usually not switched on.You can then choose to heat electrically.
If you choose to heat electrically (without using the central heating system) then the inflow valve must be closed. With a closed inflow valve, free expansion to the central heating system's expansion tank via the outflow valve must be ensured. This depends on the size of the radiator.
